I'm having successful html-to-pdf conversions, but not with special characters. If DomPdf isn't a recommended html-to-pdf conversion tool, I'll take any other recommendations!

Improve this question. Is the character you are trying for represented within the font you are using within the PDF? I didn't know that was a factor. How would I find that out?

Hi, I'm not sure what the original encoding was. I guessed it was Win as I've had a similar issue with that. Translate named entities to their Windows encoding. Translate numeric "entities" as decimal representations of Windows encoding. This yields the UTF-8 encoding of the string. I'll give that a go later today. Add a comment. Active Oldest Votes.
