WDK for Windows Server WDK for Windows 10, version WDK 8. WDK 7. EWDK for Windows 10, version Are there any plans to provide a driver that will be compatible with Win 10? I got the same message as those above When I signed up for win 10 I was told my system was good to go I need Windows 10 drivers for the GT also Windows 10 won't install due to non-Windows 10 support for the GT.
Earlier I was a Windows 10 beta tester on this same pc with the GT card, and it worked fine. If the driver for this card will not be made available for Windows 10, what alternative do I have for an older PCI express video card that is supported?
I tried to update to Windows 10 as well, and got the error message as well--GeForce Go driver is not compatible with Windows Check with manufacturer for support. This graphics card is not very current, but it is not that old as well.
I hope Nvidia issues an update so I can use Windows I was going to test Windows 10 on this computer guinea pig, so to speak before updating it on my other computers! Me, too. Same as 12 and others. Retail vendors are passing the buck, too! Not a happy bunny! Check with the manufacturer for support. I currently have windows 8 bit on a dell inspiron It seems the FX already has Windows 10 drivers and that card is based on the GTX so I hope the series 7 drivers will be released too Not to sound negative but I assume y'all realize that you're talking about decade old hardware?
Think of it this way, what smart phone existed back then??? Most 9 year old cell phones are now good for nothing paper weights or if you're lucky they just might still make phone calls in some parts of the US. Time for those who have desktop computers with any card slots to upgrade their graphics card The only reason I'm bothering to try is because I can't upgrade my laptop's built-in graphics card.
Anyone who has a desktop system with PCI-e slot should really consider replacing their decade old video card with a new cheap basic one instead which will likely actually speed up their machine a bit too, unlike those of us with "Go GS" laptop cards and older that can't be upgraded As for those talking about a "not compatible" error keeping them from upgrading, on July 31st I ran the Windows 10 setup download on my Dell Inspiron E laptop with a built-in nVidia "GeForce Go GS" video card and I chose the option for it to upgrade my existing OS which was Windows 7 Pro x64 to Windows 10 became Windows 10 Pro x64 and the installation worked fine with no compatibility complaints or failures.
So maybe it's a Windows 8 problem y'all are having with "not compatible" Windows 10 upgrade failures or a bit one because my Windows 7 Pro x64 upgrade went far smoother than any windows upgrade I've ever seen If all you do is office work you can use the "microsoft basic display adapter" driver instead of trying to install and use any nvidia drivers. It will probably limit your resolution choices but windows 10 will work with it.
Otherwise your choices are a lot of patience for something that might not ever happen, or a new laptop. I have successfully upgraded my 5. So far all seems to be working fine. I do not often use my computer for games, but was having frequent problems with NVidia graphics drivers. I had been achieving best results with driver ver. So here's hoping. I don't use my computer for games but want to upgrade to Win 10 to get the better browser edge. My desktop was 'approved' initially as eligible to update to Win 10 but when I attempted to install it was stopped by the same issue with the display adapter as many above have stated.
I have a GeForce display adapter included with my Dell desktop purchased in Will there ever be a supported driver for Win 10? An error occurred during installation, but enough was installed to allow me to run my 27" monitor at its native x resolution. A lot better than the maximum resolution offered by the default Microsoft video driver after Windows 10 completed its installation.
Note I was upgrading from Windows 7 Pro. Just an observation Neither of you have "legacy" devices so although you seem to have experienced Windows 10 upgrading problems and it's nice to hear that you found solutions, your solutions don't really help the rest of the posters in this thread because you both have current access to multiple Windows 10 drivers that ARE available for your devices from nVidia and Microsoft and you still have nVidia support available to fix your problems, unlike those of us in this legacy thread who actually have legacy hardware and are therefore not offered any Windows 10 drivers or support at all.
Any GeForce "8 Series" or newer card, especially if its' model only has 3-digits which means it's actually newer than any of the 4-digit models , still has Windows 10 drivers and bug fix support available from nVidia for Windows 10 compatibility issues.
